The Big brown guy is Dee Dee sleeping here with his pal Emily. He was rescued from a crackhouse after being locked in the home alone for 3 days without food or water. He loves other dogs, cats and children and is housebroken, neutered and utd on all of his shots. If your interested in adopting Dee Dee contact us

Wren was going to be euthanized because he needed dental work and his previous owners did not want to spend the money on an 8 yr old dog. He is now happy and healthy living life as a king in his new forever home.

BAILEY is a Colby Pit Bull rescued from a puppy mill, he had 11 brothers and sisters kept with him in a chicken coop. He was eight weeks old when they saved him he would have reminded you of Denis the menace. The only problems Bailey really had was he was under weight and infested with worms. Bailey LOVES kisses he will bully and butt his way into your lap for just one kiss. The foster has a seven year old niece that hugs, tugs and plays with him constantly. Bailey sleeps in between friends every night he has his own pillow as well. This is a remarkable breed please don't be influenced by the "bad rap" that pit bulls have been given. Try to find it in your heart as they did to give this breed a chance you will not find a more loyal or lovable companion. A fine example of a sweet, good natured pitbull with a sweet, good natured child.
In this picture Enzo is the Foxhound Beagle mix rescued from Bowling Green Humane Society he is 7 months old. People have the misconception that beagles and foxhounds are hunting dogs and should be kept outside. That is far from the truth, they make excellent house pets and are great with children. The small grey pup snuggling behind him is Gypsy. She was dropped of at Rainbow's End Greyhound Rescue along with two other Italian greyhounds. They spent their whole live in outdoor pens and were used for breeding. Since Gypsy could no longer have puppies they no longer wanted her. She came in with many health issues, hair loss, ear infection, tumors, epileptic, rotten teeth, half a tail, and frost bitten ears. Because of her poor health the vet gave Gypsy 6 months to live. he is a strong little girl despite what she has been through. Jessica
This is Force his racing name was Carolina Force, rescued from a Greyhound Track in Rhode Island that was shutting down due to lack of business Rainbow’s end Greyhound Rescue pulled him into their rescue. As soon as I met him, his sweet nature melted my heart. He is the most gentle and sweet dog , retired racers make wonderful pets. Too many of these wonderful dogs are euthanized each year because they are no longer needed at the track. I’m hoping in the near future the greyhound racing industry is stopped. RACE CARS, NOT DOGS!! Jessica.
This is Sebastian & Bootsie they were adopted from Montrose Adoption Center by a wonderful family!!! Thanks Wendy, Becka and Bonnie!!!!!!!!
This is Daisey. rescued from a "Top Quality" Pet Store (YEAH RIGHT!!) in Long Island NY. We got her at 6 months old from a small cage with other dogs sharing the small crate with each other. Daisey had life threatening pneumonia, herniated umbilical cord, Luxating Patella, massive underbite, fused vertabrae, chronic bronchitis, also her pelvis did not form properly so she is going to need surgery to repair her hips eventually. And they were still trying to sell her!!!!!! Puppy Mill Product????
Mia was adopted from the Montrose adoption center. She is a black lab mix. She was surrendered after her previous owner could no longer care for her. Her medical records stated that she had been hit by a car as a small puppy, breaking her pelvis and dislocating her hip. She immediately became a loving part of the adopting family. She is playful and loving with her kids, dogs and cats."We like to think that she chose us rather than the other way around" Mike & Jen R.
Mya is another adoption from Montrose adoption center. After seeing her picture on petfinder.com Mya's parents decided to go and meet her. She is a shepard/husky mix approx 10 mos old. She quickly formed a bond with her new forever home people especially their youngest child. With some training from her new parents she has become quite well behaved. She is smart as a whip. She loves to play with Mia and her kids and also loves to snuggle up on the couch at the end of the day. She also lives with a cat Count Rugen who is not too sure what to make of her yet. Thanks To Mike and Jen for giving Mya a wonderful forever home!!
Meet Count Rugen. He was adopted from the Humane Society of Lackawanna county in Clarks Summit( Now known as Griffin Pond Animal Shelter). The staff explained that he and his brother were surrendered with such bad eye infections that his eye had to be removed. He is a neutered black tabby with extra digits on his front paws. Named after the 6 fingered Count from “The Princess Bride,” he fast became a fixture in the house. He is an inside cat; however, he is known as the “the mighty hunter” because any moth that makes it into the house doesn’t have a chance. At the moment, he has reign of the upstairs because he is still unsure of Mya. Although he sleeps with our middle daughter, it isn’t uncommon to find him burrowed under the covers of the bed. He is a sweet and tolerant kitty who some may considered a bit on the spoiled side. He will only drink the water if it is trickling from the faucet. He “talks” to anyone who will listen… giving a “rah, rah” to let you know that he is there. Mike and Jen R
